Looking for a cheap gaming keyboard.

I don't care if it's mechanical or not. I'm fine with cheap membrane keys. Main thing I want is to be able to use multiple keys at once without it not registering (ghosting is it?, not sure the term).

Overclockers did have one a while back, basic keyboard, specifically said that does not happen, but doesn't appear to be there anymore :(.

Doesn't have to be specifically gaming either, just as long as I can press plenty of keys at once.

Looking to spend a max of £30.

Thanks.

You're looking for n-key rollover if i remember correctly, but i think ghosting means the same thing. A quick search hasn't turned up any results for membrane keyboards with nkr except the Cougar 500k but its pretty expensive.

Honestly, I think any basic keyboard is fine for gaming. unless you want macros, then I would look at saving for a mech anyway

I have been using the Logitech g105 for a while now...about 12 months, i had previously user higher end keyboards that cost £100+ but when i knocked over drinks onto 2 of them within 1 year and they died on me....i decided i wasnt going to spend that again given how clumsy i am, so went for the g105, think its about £40 ? nice keyboard though....no complaints here.

Ah, so Nkey rollover is what it's called.

I'm not greedy, I don't need to mash all keys at once or anything. Just being able to press 4-5 or so at once is fine, as long as it's not silly like, you can press 5, but only one from wasd at a time for example.

I have a similiar issue :D. That's why I am relunctant as well, somehow drink always end up on mine :(.

I've just got a cheap k120 (I think) at the moment and on shadow warrior (lots of double tapping, multi key presses etc), got a few beeps and non-responsiveness, so I guess I was pressing too many keys at once :(.

Aye, well i guess some manufacturers may be better with this than others. Going somewhere to try out the boards may be more beneficial for you maybe somewhere like PC world/Maplin, or finding a board you like and asking for owners of that specific board to test it for you!

g105 here, its a solid board, nothing fancy, no screens or anything, just a few extra buttons down the left side you can use with your little finger. Theres 6 buttons but unless your little finger is 5 inches long youll probably just use the bottom 4 like me and keep the top 2 for overclock profiles or something similar.
