My pc is old in the tooth now, and am looking to get a cheap new rig, mainly for gaming. i mainly play TF2 and WoW, with other games being older and less demanding then TF2, or on par.

my current pc is an old amd athlon 1.5ghz, 1gig RAM and a Radeon 9700. TF" plays OK, but WoW lags a lot when in busy places, i.e.5fps

My budget is £250, optical drives not needed. Also, no need for a MASSIVE hard drive, just enough to install a few games.

thanks.

erm, its an old Enermax thing, most probably 300W?

if thats is enough, will it fit new motherboards? it uses the long 12(?) pin plug and the 4 pin one, for an ATX motherboard.

im sorry but that wont work seeing as the gfx card u picked is pcie and the mobo is agp . i would recommend a pcie mobo and a 8600 gt or x1950pro to be honest

I would just stick the OCuK 8600GT in there as it would be much better and if i remember without checking its £49.99 or there abouts and destroys the 8500

Hi, mate, will you be wanting to overclock this machine? Because that will affect what sort of spec we will give you for the price.

not looking to OC (ok, the most it might be is a bit on the CPU) so thats not an issue.

case can also be left out of the equation, although i think i might need a new PSU (dont know if this old one will work with new stuff)

so im need:

CPU
Motherboard
RAM
Graphics
HDD
PSU

all for £200-£250 (including the vat)
