Hi folks

My gf needs a new GPU in order to be able to play anything on her PC at a reasonable level. Her system is very basic so I'm not expecting miracles but am hoping that there will be something out there to complement the mobo and CPU. The current GPU is an nVidia 8400 GS (so pretty-much useless). The info taken from CPUID is as follows:

Processors Information
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Specification AMD Phenom(tm) 9500 Quad-Core Processor

Multiplier x FSB 11.0 x 199.5 MHz

Chipset
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Northbridge ATI RS690/RS690M rev. 00
Southbridge ATI SB600 rev. 00
Graphic Interface PCI-Express
PCI-E Link Width x16
PCI-E Max Link Width x16
Memory Type DDR2
Memory Size 2048 MBytes
Channels Single
Memory Frequency 332.5 MHz (3:5)

Mainboard Model F690GVM (0x000001CF - 0x004FD90D)

I know nothing about GPUs these days so have no idea what would show a decent boost in performance, so please help me out. This is a GPU-only upgrade, and the only criteria is that it needs to be relatively cheap.

Thanks in advance!
