Cheap graphics card advice

A couple of years ago I built a PC for my son. At the time he was mainly into Minecraft and a few simple games, so I just went for a Ryzen 5 5600G with integrated graphics.

He's beginning to play some other games now and when I watch him playing, the FPS is really low and the display is very laggy. It would drive me crazy to play like that! His screen is 1440p.

So I'm thinking of getting him a GPU, but very much looking at the entry level, ideally under £150, £200 absolute max. Second hand is fine.

I assume even these entry level cards will outperform the onboard graphics?

Any advice on what would be best from the current cards and/or what to look out for second hand?

Ta!

Rx 6600 is the best performance new within your budget, can you look the rest of the pc spec please.

Spec is basic but OK, Ryzen 5 5600G, MSI AMD A520M-A PRO AM4 DDR4 Micro ATX Motherboard, G.Skill Aegis DDR4 16 GB PC 3200 CL16 KIT (2 x 8 GB), Kolink Modular Power 700W 80 Plus Bronze Modular Power Supply.

Given the budget I'm thinking putting it all into the GPU would be better than updating any of those components?

I'll look at the 6600, thanks.

Yes for now , the PSU is not the best but should suffice till another upgrade is required.

Going to a 5600 CPU would be a big improvement over the g variant but another one on the to do list as needs grow.

Second hand stuff is not my thing but therx maybe benefit there.

Thanks. I do have a spare Phantek PSU now that I could pop in there if needed.
