First of all, I won't be doing any gaming on this graphics card, but at the same time, I need the ability to run 3 or 4 monitors up to 4k resolution.

Since all I'll be doing is editing text documents and programming on the computer, I don't need a powerful GPU, but I'm not sure which I should go with. Having it work properly under Linux is a must.

As cheap as possible would be great.

There seems to be a real lack of cheap new GFX cards these days, probably due to the prominence of on board graphics. Remember buying cards for £20 or so in the past. They would only cater for 1 or two screens though.

Checking through the cards that OCUK cards, it's only when you start getting to the likes of GTX1050 cards do they have three video connections. As to whether they can all drive 4k monitors at the same time - would have to check. That's already well into three figures price wise though.

Would a 710 support two 4k connections? Seems to be only over HDMI, and listings seem to state a maximum resolution of 2560x1600 too...
