Cheap graphics card update

Mrs wants to dabble in WOW, dont really want to do a full on upgrade, as she hardly uses the PC, and mostly uses the laptop.

So was wondering if theres any recommendations for a bit of a boost to her ageing old dinosaur of a PC.

Its a 3.2 gig celeron, 1 gig of ddr, and atm just some rubbish onboard graphics card.

She only runs in 1024 x 768

Now I dont expect her to get into the whole raid thing, she will probably get bored in a month or so, so just wanted a cheap upgrade to get her by, its a old AGP slot, so any recommendations for a decent one? Or is this a lost cause?

A 9800pro ran WoW perfectly acceptably on my old AGP system. My final upgrade before moving to PCIe was a HD3650, although ocUK don't seem to sell AGP cards at the moment.

This was quite a hike up in performance from the 9800pro and was able to run most games and gave WoW a boost. I'd be tempted to have a look for one of those (ensuring her power supply is reasonable enough)

Try and get hold of some extra ram - though can be hard to find DDR at a good price these days. You will need to see whether you currently have one single 1GB stick or 2 x 512Mb, or even 4 x 256, to see what you can buy to go in there.

You might have to go 2nd hand for graphics card, being AGP. Something like a 3850/3870 should be goo enough I imagine.
