Cheap graphics for a budget 775 gaming machine??

The 7600GTs are fairly decent, can be had for around £60ish I think. I had to borrow one from work when my X1900XT died and my 2900 was on RMA! Did the job for me for a couple weeks anyway. :)

I personally love the 7800gt.

Very underated card since the 7800gtx and subsequent 7900 and 7950 series.

Can be found as single slot solutions and partnered with a Accelero cooler are cool and super silent.

My GF has one in her machine and partnered with a stock 3800+ X2 and 2gb of ram it will happily play tomb raider legend, doom, etc... on high settings at 1440x900.

Lovely card. Got it for myself originally to replace an x850xt and it blew that away by a massive margin.

Can be had super cheap 2nd hand on the MM too. If you find either a BFG or EVGA version they will still obviously have loads of warranty to go! ;)

Around 60-70.

Rather stay away from 8* range and get more ban for buck:D
2nd hand MM and you're talking 7900GTX tbh.

Might be worth getting something with 512mb so you're slightly more futureproofed.

I'd get a 512mb X1800/1900XT or 7800/7900GTX with that budget!

If you are talking 7600 GT kind of price levels (i.e X1950 PRO too much) then there is no point buying a 7600 GT - the 8600 GT / GTS is a fair bit faster and has a better feature set.
The 8600 GT DID suck, but drivers have improved it greatly

Agreed

8600 GT is now considerably quicker than 7600 GT...
2GHz memory = yummy

Such a shame they only gave it a 128 bit bus - it would have been a BEAST if it had got a 256 bit one
