Hey guys just got given this pc off a friend and i was gonna fit a better graphics card and some more memory in then give it to a family member.

the mobo is intel® Desktop Board D945GCLF
but its got 2 pci-e slots and 2 DDR2 slots

but the PSU leads are very tight fit :/

i was thinking about £20-30 for a graphics card and about £20-30 on memory

if you need more information, just ask, thanks :)

Im not sure a graphics upgrade would be worth it. Although those Atoms are good at what they are designed to do they are not going to run anything graphics intensive. I cant see a reason for more powerful graphics other than the onboard system.

RAM however would probably be a good boost.

Like Saundie said, there is only one PCI port on the board you have mentioned.

well thats what its telling me, but i already have a network card in one of the pci-e slots, and its got 2x 512 in there :P

i was thinking of getting a VTX ATI Radeon HD 4350 1024MB DDR2

and 2 gigs of ram :/ this pc is only 2 years old

idk what to put in it :P

ill take a photo of it tonight and show you :)

Well what are you planning to do with the computer? That will determine what spec is appropriate.

You've got to remember these Atom chips were designed for netbooks
