Hoping someone can help!

Building a media center and have a mobo which is 8x PCI-E.

Looking for a cheapish card that has HDCP and doesn't require the extra power connector (as my PSU doesnt have it!).

Any ideas what cards are possible?

Something like the Sapphire HD 2400XT? Although cant see if this is HDCP..

Do you need a HDMI port or is DVI ok? IF DVI then get the 2400XT is fine. As long as you dont need to play games :D

Nope no games! From the looks of it the 2400xt comes with a DVI-> HDMI converter which supports HDCP so its all sorted. Comes without a fan too!! Sorted! Cheers

really ? lol I've got about 4 knocking around in my bedroom

Has to be an ATI adaptor which came with a UVD capable card for it to be able to carry sound. Otherwise its a bog standard DVI -> HDMI.

Also, if you go through the big retailer sites and go through user reviews. The majority of people to actually get the dongle.
