Cheap Hosting :D

i current have that dreamhost package that worked out at around a fiver for the year with 1tb+ of transfer and ~20gig of space and a free domain name.

unfortunatly, it runs out next month and i dont really want to pay £120/year to renew it

(and a re register the domain)

are there any other companies out there doing any great (read: cheap) hosting deals?

If you want pile-it-on-ooh-look-at-these-numbers-which-you'll-never-get-to-use hosting then two half-decent alternatives to Dreamhost are Site5 and Lunarpages

To some up....you get what you pay for.......and what Beansproat was trying to say was that if you don't need a big package (for instance the one you have) why have it?

There are plenty of cheap packages that are the same as yours but it'll slip in other areas such as customer service and up file.....transfer speeds.....you get the picture.

So I say check out the host review and go to a host which has the right package at the right price who is rated high

I would pimp VIDAHOST, but that wouldn't be fair on the other people that have hosting companys on these forums....would it Beansprout

Forgot to an example.....of well...what happend to me...

I bought a host which was 11 pence per year......30GB space no 100GB bandwidth..........

All broke pretty quickly..............well I would like to say that my 11p was well spent.......so I will

I got that hosting for around 6 months before it broke.....well worth the 11p

i was after some hosting for about a tenner a year

tbh, 10gigs of space and say 50gb of xfer would do me nicely, but ill check the list.

anyone got any coupons for them?

You might want to re-think your budget and/or expectations to be honest.

Site5 or Lunarpages really...don't know any coupons offhand, methinks it's only Dreamhost who play that game.

You won't find many other hosts offering such ludicrous pricing because they're playing the numbers game over there and the latest round is just crazy. I mean, you can't possibly use anywhere near what you're paying for. *shrugs*

Edit: Found a coupons site though how good any of the hosts there are, I have no idea.
