Cheap inks?

Hi chaps,

Any reason to stray away from cheap ink cartridges? Currently looking to print a lot of full colour pages and it seems much cheaper to go for a couple of dozen 'Compatible' cartridges vs the OEM ones.

Do they contain less ink? I assume the colour quality might be a bit iffy but is there anything else to watch out for?

We've had a couple of packs before and they do seem to need changing before they 'feel' empty, is this normal?

Printer in question is an Epson SX415.

Cheers for the suggestions guys, seems a CISS system is my best bet (Cheapest too).

Got my CISS setup and working! 50 full colour pages and counting, barely seen the ink level move. I'd highly recommend them if your printer is compatible and you don't mind the ink being outside of the printer.

Under £20 for the whole setup with 4x100ml bottles (C/Y/M/B) and I've done more printing than 5x sets of compatible cartridges already.
