Cheap Large CRT

can anyone recomend a cheep large (20"+) CRT as my pc's in the attic outa the way so i dont actually need a LCD. i dont have a overly large desk so dont go too nuts

, its will be used for gaming mainly.

prices would be good (though obviously dont include links due to rules)

I seem to keep mentioning these on the forum, but they are excellent. Dell P1130's off eBay £50-£100 inc Del. I have two and they are both superb i run them at either 1640x1230 @100Hz or 1792x1344 @92Hz depending on what i'm doing and they perform amazingly.

They are infact 21" Sony G520's just with a Dell case and no USB ports. Baring in mind that G520's retailed at like £700 not that long ago!!

I had an Iiyama VMPro 512 before and the P1130 blows it away in everyway!

Also G520's are also rebranded by HP/Compaq etc as P1130, and a P1110 is a Sony G500.

P1130 here less than a year old when I got it off ebay a couple months ago, spent most of its life in a box before it ended up in my hands. Great screen but it took me a couple weeks to tweak the settings (convergence, geometry, colour etc...), also it needs 10-20 minutes to warm up after a cold start.

IF *and that is a big if* you want the best CRT that I've ever used/bought

Sony GDMFW900 24" Monitor. Widescreen and 2304 x 1440 @ 80 Hz
They do weight @ 90lbs though... :eek:

Thank god for a steel reinforced desk to support 2 of them....

It was bent like that for 2 years when I had my previous 21" CRT on there as well ,Should be fine

Another vote for the P1130 here. I have the HP version. Still a Sony trinitron 21". Excellent picture quality and running at 1600x1200@100hz. Got it off ebay last year for £65 and it is mint.
