Cheap lighting setup for the office

Hi guys,

Looking for some advice on lighting, I run an agency and would like to start taking decent pictures around the office, pictures of staff for the website, new starts being highlighted on social media etc.

I'm not sure where to start though.. What's the best route here, flash guns, light boxes? I have access to backdrops and a DSLR with multiple lenses.

In terms of lighting style for staff shots, I'd be keen on something soft like this:

I have access to natural light.

I tried to rename the title, I hastily put 'cheap' in there but for the right kit for long term use, I'd be willing to spend more.

For flashes and flash accessories take a look at Godox. How much you need to spend depends on your budget and exactly what you're looking for.

Hi Russ, I ended up getting a couple of pixapro light boxes, a backdrop and a couple of reflectors for now. It seemed like the more sensible option for a fixed setup. I'll trial things out post-COVID and report back
