Other than the obvious illegal way of getting it, is there any way of legitimately getting Lightroom on the cheap? Do they ever have offers on?

Adobe often do discount codes, iirc at the beginning of the month they were offering upto 40% off certain applications and it was 20% for Lightroom.

Amazon often do £20 off offers on photo software when you buy camera equipment. I think they were once selling light room for £50.

That was about a month ago.. I still haven't claimed a serial key yet! Been meaning to scan in and email the proof to Adobe.

This thread reminded me to do that, I just sent in my proof for working at an educational institution

They have changed the rules, you have to send in proof within six working days now.

now all I have to do is decide where Im going to store all my photo's and get to grips with the lightroom catalogue

Huhhhhh... Just checked mine, doesn't say anything like that on the box so I'm hoping mine is still ok to claim..
