getting a 2500k but want to keep the price to a minimum for the mobo, already have RAM etc so whats a good choice keeping in mind I dont want some piece of crap that will just break after a month or two?

this gigabyte z68 board is a nice board if you are on a budget. Here is a review.

As you can see from the review it overclocks rather well, though it doesn't have some of the features of the more expensive boards - for example it doesn't support SLI or PCI-E gen3 and the second main PCIE slot only runs at x4 speed.

Very decent board with the benefit of PCI 3.0 ready, so u can upgrade to Ivybridge at a later date. Same goes for the new PCI 3.0 graphics cards out now (ATI 7*** & soon to be out Kepler).

Makes this board a bit more future-proof for not much more dosh. Well worth it me thinks.

Hope it helps

P.S. I'm a bit of an Asus fan when it comes to mobo's too, but both MSI and Gigabyte also do great mobo's. Performance wise, they are all very similar and they all allow a great deal of Overclocking options. Its really all down to personal preference and looks tbh at this price range.

Happy hunting!
