Cheap Monitor for desktop access while gaming?

With Black Ops just around the corner, I'm planning on using the Rcon Tool to manage my server.
However, recently my Alienware laptop has decided that it doesn't want to work, so I'm looking at alternative ways to access my desktop for tools such as Rcon while gaming. I've never liked Alt-Tabbing as most games still can't handle it well.

I currently have a Gainward GTX 460 GLH, so I'm thinking a cheap small monitor hooked up to that as a secondary may help me out?
It's been many yeaqrs since I had 2 monitors though, so not sure how it works.

So can anyone advise me here? I have a very good monitor for gaming, so I'm only looking for a cheap crappy monitor is that is the best way to go.

I'm a bit sceptical when it comes to using 3rd party software to alter anything game related. I don't want to end up with a ban.

Size of the monitor really doesn't matter, it's purely for Desktop. That 16inch screen looks ideal tbh, but I will shop around for a second hand one as you suggest.

What are people's experience with doing similar to me?
Things that I think may present an issue are FPS Slow down and Mouse Focus. Are these common issues in setups like I'm trying to do?

Managed to borrow a monitor.
MW2 doesn't have windowed mode so I'm guessing BO won't either.
Kinda pointless having a spare monitor tbh since I need to alt tab to get mouse focus on the extended desktop.
