Someone asked me to source a power supply for his HTPC.

Its not a power hungry rig but wants to spend a little as possible for a quite PSU. Anyone got any suggestions?
 
I went for a corsair 650w psu for mine, because like the post above, the more head room the quieter!

The 650 is very quiet under 350w. Might be to pricey

It really depends on the specific micro-atx case your friend is using, may I ask what make and model number case it is?

Most micro ATX cases (like this Antec Fusion) use standard ATX power supplies, while a small number do use a shortened ATX PSU or even a custom design.

When you say micro ATX do you mean the case or the psu is micro atx?

If its the PSU Enermax did do some micro ATX PSU.

Do you know the make / model of the case?
 
I don't think it's a typo. I've seen it a lot on here. It's just one if those words lots of people get wrong.

How quiet do you want it?
