Hello,

A friend is looking at a new PC for office work. I've got 4GB of RAM and a AMD 5770 graphics card gathering dust that I'll throw in it.

I've but together the below for £250, can I buy anything better for £250 or would you go even cheaper? Obviously faster the better (hence the SSD)

Cheers

(can anyone tell me how I post pictures of the spec?)

Would work great, here's something Intel but tbh both CPUs are great for just office work (we have a PC at home with the G3220 + MX100 256GB SSD for just general rubbish, works great!)

(What is the office work, just word/excel etc?)
Does he have a lot of tabs/programs open at the same time, if so then 8GB RAM might be a good idea if that stick you have is a 1x4GB DIMM

YOUR BASKET
1 x Crucial MX100 256GB SATA 2.5” 7mm SSD + 9.5mm Adapter (CT256MX100SSD1) £79.98
1 x Intel Pentium G3240 3.1GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £44.99
1 x Asus H81M-K Intel H81 (Socket 1150) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard £37.99
1 x Antec VPF450 450W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £36.95
1 x Xigmatek Mach Midi-Tower Black £24.95
Total : £234.46 (includes shipping : £8.00).

Power supply is *arguably* better, as the CX series are quite "budget" units. You could work up to an 80+ Gold Seasonic/SuperFlower/Antec PSU for better reliability, but this PSU shouldn't be bad at all

There are lots of build options, your spec would be great but swapping the PSU out for this antec and you're tickety boo :)
