So,i have been asked by my mother to help build her a new PC. The pc is just for general web browsing and just for standard use. The PC needs to be as cheap as possible and only needs OS. I have already tried specing a build with a pentium for £300.
Thanks for the help.

How does this look ?? should be fine for browsing the web and doing word documents etc. If space becomes a problem you can always add another mechanical hard drive for more space later down the road

This build includes a Disk drive if you still use them

Thanks for the help guys. I dont think a SSD will be required as it would mean i can get a better cpu or more Ram. I hadnt thought of going the route of AMD as i have ever used them. For the price would AMD give me better performance for the money?

Update :
Or if you could stretch to £329.48 you could get a I5 system if you wanted to go down the Intel route and use Windows 10 technical preview as suggested above or even use a Linux Distro

toshiba chromebook 2 (fhd) or chromebox plus monitor and her existing keyboard ? that way you dont have to do computer support on an ongoing basis.
