Looking for a cheap PSU and mid ranged cooler for my Q6600 at 3.2GHz with an 8800GTX.

Currently thinking of getting the 612S for heatsink.

Any recommendations on PSU? Prefer those standard mesh sleeved cables, modular doesn't matter for this build. Something cheap n quietish ideal.

This is for a second pc, my brother can use it or buy it later.

:D Glad to hear it's got Seasonic internals, info like that is so great thanks a lot. I need 2xPCI-E 6 pin, I guess I will have to use a molex to PCI-E?

Also should have noted that if brother upgrades GPU to a £150 one at some point, would need to be able to plug PSU into it lol.

Probably better off using the molex adapter for now, most mid ranged card's only need the single 6/8 pin. Need to be tight with this purchase. :D

Okay, can't stand the mounting system on the 612S, kinda want something with a back plate that I can install with motherboard inside the case.

You can install the 612S with mobo in the case. I just installed mine, took about 5mins.
