cheap PSU

Anybody tell me what one. Its for my super old computer, ATX socket A. Dont care or have any interest in these things ever since i built this thing about 3 years ago. So nothing fancy at all. It browses the internet and msn, thats all. :cool:

But im getting random shut downs ever so often (ever 30 minutes or so) just powers down completely. Was a cheap PSU in there so i guess its gave up the ghost. :cool:

This one is good cheap PSU, though if youre wanting cheaper they (antec) do do another, £12 cheaper but its slightly less powerful and not rated as 80% efficient where as this one is. And still reliable make so should keep you running for a fair few years no worries

Can that work with a more modern setup too ?

It would depend on your overall system draw, if youve got a new gfx card you might be better going for a 500W system, This one is 470 but should cope with most things bar dual gfx

To be honest if i decide to upgrade it will just for internet and msn. running AVG is probably the most stress this thing gets.
