Cheap PSU

To be honest, I really wouldn't go with that one. It is really only suitable for low-end systems with no graphics card. Instead, with a Quad core system and a graphics card (albeit a low-power one) I wouldn't go for anything cheaper than this or this.

The Corsair CX one is a good cheapish alternative. Don't buy unbranded PSU's - especially with decent components in. Cheap PSU's are good for only office PC's and/or web browsing machines really.

Hi

I would very much like to point you away from cheap PSU's

One should never underestimate the importance of corrct and stable power to the PC's main components

Try and purchase a reliabe and reputable manufacturers PSU

Regards

Lew

Indeed, rule of thumb, never skimp on a PSU :)

I recently bought a 550w Powercool PSU that blew up on me after 3 weeks. I'm now using the CX600 and it's stable as hell. Go with a known brand with good 12v rails. If a PSU dies it can take other/all components with it!
