Cheap rear brake disk for xj 600

I need a new rear brake disk but I most are £70+

Anyone know a site where can get one bit cheaper maybe?

My bike is a Yamaha XJ600 2001 model.

I see disks on ebay going cheaper than that. However it's worth finding out if you can fit pre 2000 disks to the bike as some say 90-98 (a lot cheaper) and some say 92-2003 and so on.

I have been looking most of the night and the ebay one does seem the cheapest option so far.

I am not sure about the 90-98 ones but I will try and find out.

If EBC MD2002 is the correct part then it's the same disc used on most of the Ducati Monsters, so if you don't mind an aftermarket wavy disc (don't like them myself) there are dozens of options on eBay etc. You could also get a good used one pretty cheaply.

BTW if you think the rear discs are expensive, try pricing up the front discs!

Thanks I went for the EBC one in the end.

I don't mind spending money on the bike but this month had pay out another £220 on SIA renew bloody ripoff.

What was up with yours? Worn thin or scored? could have had it skimmed if scored but if it were me I'd have bought s cheap used disc
