Save me from having to use a hardback book whenever I get tired of my office chair and decide to take my mouse and keyboard over to my sofa! I need a cheapish mousepad that has to be metal or hard plastic.

This seems to be the cheapest Overclockers do, but I actually bought one a few months ago and it was NOT properly rigid at all, it would bend as easily as a politician to the recording industry's interests, so I had to send it back. What's the cheapest pad I can get that's as rigid as a pornstar on the blue pill?

I have never found hard mats to be much good, a little bit of dirt and the mouse feels like its scratching along the surface. My suggestion would either be a book with a cloth mat on it or maybe try using a trackball? They are pretty good if you don't have much space to use them.

Not sure you'll find anything much cheaper than that.

The best rigid pad I have at the moment is a SteelSeries - I got it for a tenner on sale at the purple shirt place.
