Im currently looking out for a cheap wireless adsl router going to nab one from the mm or auction most likely.
after a bit of advice first though i like the idea of the linux flashable ones the increased functionality including prioritising packets (im a gamer) and power upage would be nice.
what im currently looking at is the linksys WRT54GS seeing as it has more ram that the previous WRT54G and more flashable rom memory as well (earlier revisions anyway)
however im unsure if this router has an inbuilt adsl modem cant seem to find a clear answer although its seeming unlikely
also can any one tell me what the performance regarding torrents is like? does the router fail under a lot of connections?
what about the packet priority with the third party firmwares? is it usefull enough to provide a decent ping while downloading even with p2p?
any other suggestions for alternative routers would be welcome as well
many thanks!
