Hey,

I've been out of the country for 6 months, sold my car etc before I went away. I'm about to come home and need a cheap, reliable car that can be my work horse whilst I try and find a job.

Looking at spending maybe 1k can be stretched a little.

Seen a couple £300 fiestas locally but suspect at that price they'll be sheds.

Seen a 2002 1.6 vw bora which looks OK for £1200.

Any suggestions/auto trader links would be appreciated.

I'm in the same situation, I'm picking up a mk3 Mondeo tomorrow hopefully. Does the job, pretty reliable and easy to find.

Mondeo is very tempting, hoping a mechanic friend of mine can find me something decent. Soon as i get back on my feet i'll get something a little nicer.
