I have a tablet on the way which is LTE so I may just stick a sim card in there for the odd occasion where it might not be connected to WiFi but I don't want a monthly subscription.

Are there still cheap payg sim options out there where I can just top it up with a fiver, put it in the tab and just forget about it? Done a quick Google and most of them I've seen still want you 'topping up' every month.

Worth a shot, but they're not a great network...

I'm in the process of switching from Lebara to Spusu, here's a quick speed test I did just now, same location in the house.

I know you said you didn't want to pay each month, but for info, if you go via comparison site you can get a Smarty 80GB SIM for just £8 a month. :)

im looking for a Data only sim, no idea how to to use comparison sites on these, as when i do it, they tell me ive got texts and calls, which i don't want, needs to be a Data only sim otherwise it violates the T&Cs of my dashcam

unsure what i can get or where to even look

the company uses smarty (5 Gb for £5 a month)

You can get a 25Gb a month data sim on 3 network . £65 one off and it lasts until Feb 27.

I've been using one in my Tab S9 since March

Oops, forgot to say it's on Amazon :)

This lebara sim went down to 50p for 7 months.

I get 200meg download in and around London. You have to get 5G enabled as it's 4G out of the box. Just ask online chat to enable it.

I might buy it tbh, I'm moving abroad and don't fancy paying £8 just to keep my UK number :D
