I originally thought about moving from my i5 760@4ghz to Haswell, something like a 4690k with board and memory for ~£350 2nd hand however it appears Skylake parts are not that much more.

i5-6600K 3.9GHz (Skylake) OEM - £200

Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3P Intel Z170 (Socket 1151) DDR4 ATX Motherboard - £100

Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-24000C15 3000MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black (CMK16GX4M2B3000C15)
£130

Would something like this be better than going 2nd hand Haswell?

Thanks

Ta. Should I ignore all the comments on the lines of 'Skylake will not provide much over 2500k' '****lake' etc.

What increase and benefits would I get over my i5 760 setup other than more memory, and SATAIII (instead of II)

Clock for clock against my i5 760 is it (or would it be) much quicker? I have looked for benchmarks but generally ones do not show older CPUs
