There’s a HP mini PC running Windows 10 at a local MH drop in centre I visit. They use it to play YouTube music videos, currently using one of those portable ball speaker things which doesn’t provide great sound quality so I’ve ordered a set of these for £10.79.

Hopefully should be an improvement sound wise and not to expensive. Not bothered about the RGB lights and will turn them off if I can. Good that they also power from USB as the two power sockets near the machine are being used by the PC itself and the monitor.

Fairly sure OCuk sell speaker sets for PCs
I’m in Jersey, and they do but even the cheapest 2.0 sets are £7.49 ex VAT and by the time you’ve added postage costs they come to more than £10.79.

Not looking for earth shattering quality just something better than the ball speaker.

Was paid for the speakers today by the boss at the MH centre. She gave me £10 in cash, wasn’t bothered about the 79p. Shouldn’t really buy stuff without her go ahead as she normally has to request stuff through the appropriate channels and she has a tight budget.

I have since found out that a local computer shop stocks these speakers so they must be ok, they charge £19 for them though.

Received the speakers this morning and almost immediately took them to the MH centre. They are an improvement over the ball speaker and not bad for a tenner.

The RGB lights got peoples attention, I have left them on because they look cool. Overall it’s an improvement and I get to keep the ball speaker which I owned anyway.

They obviously own these new speakers as they’ve paid me for them. They often take groups out for coffees etc so it won’t bankrupt them.
