Girlfriends birthday is comming soon and the laptop which I gave her after I built my computer is struggerling really bad with basic tasks.

So i'm building her a cheap computer just for internet/ movies and maybe some very very light gaming.

I have a case/hard drive and a saphire 3450 for her.

This is what I've put together. Any good?

Any things I could change? Needs to be cheap if so.

Cheers.

Looks nice to me. I got the same motherboard and CPU to make a computer for my parents. They only use it for general stuff like the internet, uploading photos, that sort of thing. Its surprisingly a good overclocker too. I was considering getting the 250 @ 3GHz but went for the 240 and overclocked it to 3GHz and it works a treat, temps are very low too. I think it would go to around 3.4GHz with an aftermarket cooler.

You won't be disapointed :)

I got my 240 to 3.5Ghz on stock cooler stock voltages. :)

Your build is good, but I would drop that mobo and graphics card and get an MSI 785GM-E51 instead as it includes an integrated ATi 4200 GPU which is fine for light gaming and has a better chipset than the Giga board. You can get it for £56 + free shipping if you look in google shopping.

the 3450 is a nice little card, i have used it in a couple of builds and it did everything i asked of it so no need for a board with an onboard gpu if you can save a few quid and aren't going to be overclocking.

Agreed, the 3450 is always going to be better than integregated graphics, even if it is against the latest and greatest 4200. Plus you can overclock it a little to get the most fps you can
