HI guys

Thinking of splashing the cash on a cheap summer upgrade to my 18month old rig.

Currently its a:
3800 x2
Asus A8N SLi
2gb Dual Channel DDR
XFX 7800gt
Sammy 920bf
Vista Ultimate
Hiper 540 Type R PSU

Been looking at the cheap ATI cards about the x1950xt and the X1950 Pro which is going to give me the best bang for my buck?

Can I expect a decent performance boost?

Not to fussed about DX10 at this point I don't think the cards or software is mature enough.

Mainly play at 1280x1024 (native res of screen)
Lord of the Rings Online
FPS's (Stalker, Prey, BF2/2142)
RTS's (Supreme Commander)
Space (X3)
RPG (NWN2, Oblivion)

Got about £100 to spend, oh and would rather it be stock performance rather than hoping for a good OC.

Ta

Yeah i would agree with that graphics card.

(Whats your characters name on LOTRO? mine is Arada and i am sure i have done a fellowship with your username)

Yeah good upgrade.

I went from a 7800GT to a x1900xtx, old games like BF2 etc, I didnt really notice much improvement, but shader intensive game like Oblivion etc, it really makes a difference.

Its a good idea getting a 512MB card now too.
