Hi all,

Me & three colleagues are in the process of setting up a business between us. As a start up we will have no business premesis other than storage. What would be the cheapest way to have a handset in each of the four locations that would allow us to put all the phones in a group so we can have a single main number.

Thanks,

Adam

For a cheap solution it's probably going to be an internet based solution (though I am guessing!).

Have a look at voipfone.co.uk, I use them for my business line and all has been good so far, though it is a far simplier solution than you need.

Could try something like Asterisk if you want more of a phone system, although this could be total overkill for what you need. Take a look at PBXinaflash if you want to have a play and do a quick test.

Do you just connect their service using a SIP phone?

Pretty much, I would use some snom phones if I were you. If you buy the phones from them they will pre-onfigure them, they do have some reasonable pbx features if you want ot go down that route.

I would suggest you create an account and have a poke around the admin area to see whats what, you do not have to purchase nay services or call time unless you want to.
