I've never seen it mentioned on here, so I thought I'd bring to peoples' attention in case they'd find it useful. It should especially be welcome news for any vegetarian who's sick of drinking lots of shakes!

Holland & Barratt sell 350g bags of dehyrdated soya chunks for £1.39, and each bag provides enough to form the base of four or five large meals. They're bland, and it took me a while to devise several ways of making moderately tasty dishes out of them, but it's worth it because they're easy to digest and contain:

50% protein!

Any questions? :)

What's your recipes? Any chance of a 'Cooking with Johnny69' stylee addition to the thread? :)

My current favourite:

Fry chopped red onion, finely chopped red chilli, and a couple of crushed cloves of garlic in raspberry vinegar, then whack that on top a layer of natural yoghurt that sits on top of the chunks.

That sounds pretty good aside from the obvious question of what the Dickens are you doing with raspberry vinegar? Might have to try something similar though but perhaps with ordinary vinegar. :)

YUCK!!!

Actually, no wait that sounds like Indian style flavoured yoghurt. I might be tempted to try that without the protein chunks.
