Am i right in thinking thats the skylake chip? if so im sure my bro has the i7 6700k and he is still gaming on it @1080p with a rtx 3060 just fine, its actually surprising how well hes doing and the fps he gets in games still, he hasnt got bf2042 yet but he should be buying it today hopefullyMy buddy as a i5 6500 and a 5600xt. He just installed BF2042 and it runs like crap shocking right…
Will dropping in a i7 6700 be worth buying, there is no way he can afford a system upgrade right now
it still may be at 100% or close to it, but defo worth a trythe other games he plays are all older and fine but BF2042 the cpu is pinned at 100% from the second you lick the desktop shortcut.
I think I will grab him an i7 the extra 4 threads should do him some good
Yeah, even though my bro said its running very smooth i expect its still hammering his cpu, he STILL hasnt downloaded msi afterburner as hes never been worried about stats etc and used to use the built in fps counter on his old monitorSkylake is still pretty awful for holding its price. Maybe at £40 max i'd try it, but it's dead money. Least the ram is still likely useable should he stretch his wallet a bit and sell the board and cpu.
I'd wait on the guy who commented for the real world results still.
if you can pickup a cheap i5-10400f that will run bf2042 perfectlyMy buddy as a i5 6500 and a 5600xt. He just installed BF2042 and it runs like crap shocking right…
