Hi, currently looking to upgrade our current PC.

We need a new
  • CPU
  • RAM
  • GPU (can be onboard?)
  • MOTHERBOARD

Budget is around £120. Needs to be able to do the odd bit of photoshopping and good enough to run Memory Map.

Not too bothered which Socket the mobo is so long all the above is compatible.

Looking to purchase from OcUK asap. (ideally tonight)

Thanks, Ben.

Is it to upgrade the computer in your sig? Because if so you won't get enough of an improvement over your current system. If not it might be a bit difficult for that price, but here goes...

Asus M3A78 AMD 780G AM2+ Motherboard £66.69
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5000+ CPU £45.99
OcUK GeForce 8400 GS 256MB Video Card £25.29
Crucial 2GB PC2-5300C5 667Mhz Memory £22.99

Subtotal £160 inc VAT.

A little over budget I know, and if you are upgrading your sig then it'll be a downgrade so don't bother. However the AM2+ motherboard does make it denab compatible at a later date so that helps with a future upgrade path. I don't have much experience with modern AMDs, but all should be compatible. I've gone the AMD route, because the motherboards are cheaper at OCUK. The memory isb 667Mhz so a little slow, however it will do the job, if you are willing to spend more on an 800Mhz setup then performance will increase.

Hope this helps :)
