Just got back from aldi, 8p and 4p for bags of onions, potatoes, parsnips, swedes, carrots.

Tesco also doing broccoli, cabbage and Lidl’s spring onions.

Trying to have roast veg with my lunches / dinners recently so a nice suprise.

Onions and potatoes are quite long lasting, was wondering how well the other veg freeze?

They all used to do it around xmas, but I don't remember them doing it around easter before (unless I just can't remember). Wonder if any of them have looked at just making them the stupid low price all the time to attract customers all the time (although it's probably less of an incentive the rest of the year, when people aren't going to splurge the same.

Lidl has been doing cheap veg a few times so far this year. We got a bag of new potatoes a few weeks ago for 35p plus the freebies from Lidl plus.

I went to Sainsburys yesterday to grab a few bits for the weekend, I love a bit of Lamb for Easter and was going to pick up a half leg as it's just me now. Ended up getting a whole 2kg leg because they were half price with Nectar and actually cheaper than a half leg! I ended up paying £15 for a leg of lamb that was priced at £33.
