Just looking for a cheap way to get some surround in the spare room really, main gaming PC is in there and is hooked up to a 50" plasma with a pair of Edifier 1900 2.0's being used as front speakers atm. I have a really old logitech 2.1 system i've just tried hooking up to use for 2 rear speakers but it's a bit naff.

What would be the cheapest way to get proper 5.1 in there? Sound would be coming from a xonar dg. I'm thinking grab something like logitech z506 or equivalent and add it but keep the Edifiers as the fronts. Any other suggestions? Not really fussed about it for gaming tbh, more for watching stuff when the missus has her guff on in the living room.

Z506 is on offer this week. Down from £80 to £60. Without spending significantly more on a more home theatre based set up, it's ideal really.
