Hi all,

Dont know if this has been posted already, not seen anything about it.

I have bought 3 x Benq 24" screens LED versions.

Im running 2 dvi based and the 3rd im using off the displayport and running it via VGA. Display port to VGA adapters are cheap and 2 a penny. And its working perfectly!!

No need for a Active DVI Displayport if you can use VGA on your monitor :D

Couldnt be happier love it.

Hey Martini1991,

What doesnt make sense?

soundood,

What can i say? i have dropped down to these screens from a dell 3007, i love the eyefinity setup as a whole. the 3007 was obviously a far better panel. the benq's do feel a lot cheaper than the dell and to be honest they were.

I canna really fault the panel itself though, for the price they are ace and i love it.

I promise guys, it works a treat, and on the benq's i can see no difference in quality between the DVI and VGA connected monitors. And best of all no flicker :D

Hey rick,

Got your email fella, but as i have just moved house i dont have net access at home yet lol wont do for a week.

All i used was a displayport - vga adapter, its not active and doesnt need to be for an analogue, just make sure its of the cable variety and not a solid plug in adapter so to speak.

also i remember reading something about your graphics cards. Im using 2 x 5870's in crossfire and running at 5760 x 3240.

Thats made up of 3 x 24" benq screens 1920*1080

Im going to be brutally honest and say im not that impressed with eyefinity at the moment. The image on the 2 side screens appears more streched the closer it get the edge of the screen, and the height of the screens at 1080 is not enough.

For example Dirt 2, when a car is on the middle screen or just on the edges closest to the center screen they appear ok, but as you pull past it, it stretches more and more :(

Same with world of warcraft. If you look at a boar on the middle screen then rotated so the boar would be along side you, it looks massive.

Could be the way i have it setup at the moment.

I wish i had kept my single 30" dell 3007.
