Hi, I'm looking to get a cheap webserver for experimenting on
I'll be looking to use node.js and Parse (separate projects)

Would this system be better than a Pi 3 for this job? Baring in mind It can be had for £60 which is about the price of the Pi when you include power supply, case and various accessories?

Specs are:
Intel Celeron N3050 1.6GHz
2GB DDR3 RAM

Look at wamp run it locally ?

I have been using xampp for running locally for a while but I'm looking for something a bit more flexible and comparable to a VDS in terms of configuration. Using shell terminals etc. Also my PC has many more random bits of software and packages than I would like so I would like them moved elsewhere. I need to be able to easily access it from my mac and iPhone too.

Just ordered one of these, going to put openelec and kodi on, use it as a media box, the internet says it'll do 1080p no problem. Aparently it come with a keyboard and mouse for £60!

Would a Pentium G3220 be powerfull enough?

If so you could get an actual server, Dell T20 for £142 then get £70 cashback with the current dell offer.
