I've considered buying a wheel stand for my Black Momo for some time but have always been to tight to spend nigh on a hundred quid on one. Anyways Amazon alerted me to a deal on these Cheaper stands costing just £44.99 so I bought one & it was delivered an hour or so ago.
So here's the link to the site & a couple of pics.

Extendable shaft & tiltable in two places.

Pics taken from there home site here - http://www.wheelstandracing.com/index.htm

Takes minutes to set up & is very stable in use, Adjusts well enough to fit most chairs & is a must at 44.99 for any SIM Racer.

I also bought 2 Mint Bucket seats tuther week & intend making a base up & using the Bucket seat, Wheel stand & Momo together, My set up has come a long way since I carved up one of my dining room chairs. :D

Well I am pressing down with my heals & pushing up with my knees just a tad under the wheel platform if that makes sense. It didn't move on 2 passes of the Full ring in the Minolta race car.
The base is surprisingly big & heavy/stable though.

Right I've given it a good hammering now.
No mate you can't tilt the base so I have a block of wood under the back side of my pedal base lifting it up to the right angle.
As for sideways movement I've not had any no matter what I drive or how mental I go, I took a 900+Bhp Viper out round the ring & lost it big style after clipping the grass under braking & didn't get any movement at all even though I span it full circle & smashed into the barrier 3 times :D, The force feedback seems to transmit through the metal tubing & steering wheel base some how & exaggerates the feedback which is a massive bonus, It's hard to explain but you just feel the feedback in a more Solid & sometimes quite Brutal way.
Best thing of all though is after a bit of tweaking you can get in the Ultimate driving position & are completely comfortable, No aches or leaning forward in your seat & complete control over the wheel.
I'd now say at £44.95 it is a Must buy for anybody with a decent wheel.

Well it was so good with my old Black Momo I talked my mate into selling me his 4 month old Logitech Driving Force Pro GT or summit like that as he don't use it.
Using the Logi DFP is about 3 times as good, The pedal base tilts up at the back more so no need for any adjustment, The feedback is Awesome & makes driving a pleasure & Loads easier & it all fits the wheel stand much better as well.
Absolutely No sideways movement no matter what happens & it all folds up nice when you're done.
A Brilliant buy for 44.95.

I Shattered my times on GT5 & slaughtered my previous finish positions on Dirt 3 & I could play All day long without getting any aches or pains.

The only reason I haven't bothered going for a wheel for my PS3 is because I have no-where to mount/fix it to.

When I have done a search for any they all seem to be the big arcade style jobbies for silly money. Thanks very much for the review and heads-up, will certainly bear this in mind when I have a bit of money to put towards it and a wheel.

After Untold hours I've done a few minor mods.
There are 2 thread holes in the pedal base to attach a fixing to lock your pedal base in place, Both my black Momo & the DFP pedal base covered the holes so the fixing couldn't be attached so I've drilled 2 holes & used 2 bolts, I've fitted a washer either side to protect the base once tightened & used bolts with flat screw type domed heads so they sit nice & flush on the top of the base. Has to be said that the pedal base never moved in use but when you pack it away it's arkward if moving about.
I've also switched the larger tightening wheel to the bottom & the small one to the top as you need a better purchase with the lower tightening method.
Apart from that all I've done is go round & check/tighten all the other nuts/bolts that hold it together. There were also 2 washers/spacers attached to the side of the box when you get it & these are to use between the fixing of the post & platform, They are different sizes so you put the one in that fills the gap which makes that connection even more solid.
I say now that it's perfect & adds to the whole driving/SIM racing experience no end & I've been so comfortable I took on the 4 hour Ring, I bottled it after about 2 hours but you can imagine how many laps I must have driven in 2 hours & all without a single ache anywhere.

Any pics of what youve done 4T5 and the resulting setup - not seen any real detailed pics on this stand? Ive already got the G27 WSP but its nice to see how something different deals with it...

ps3ud0

Any pics of what youve done 4T5

Will do mate next time it's out but I'm currently rejigging my whole front room as I've got a leather 2 & 3 seater coming.

Stand is Awesome though & I can't beleive how much difference it makes to racing/gaming. :)

Hi 4T5,

Just wondering how your getting on with this now? Any hicups over the last month? Where are those pictures btw?

Thanks
Nigel

No Hiccups at all it's Solid as a rock. I forgot about the pics I'll post some next time out but to be honest I set it up in seconds now & then race for hours solid so when I'm done it's a quick rush to the loo & food time. :p
