Looking for a cheap, wireless ADSL modem/router. The connection at the moment is only used for light web browsing and Wii connectivity, so no gaming/downloading is done on it. The modem I currently use connects to the PC via USB, not ethernet, and there is no ethernet socket on it.

That's about it. Anyone have any suggestions?

I don't think you can get a cheap USB router - you'd have to buy a network card for the PC.

Anyway the Linksys WAG200G is a fairly decent router for ADSL, I had it for a brief period to troubleshoot a SkyBB issue but returned it when I ditched Sky altogether.

I paid £25 IIRC

You can buy a PCI ethernet card for your machine for around ten quid, will be a lot less hassle than a USB connection and can also be useful if you ever needed to share files around a network or if you invested in a NAS backup solution :)

As for a cheap wireless router you can't really go far wrong with most of Netgear's offerings, have a look at the DG834G. If you want a better product then you might want to hunt around on the auction sites for a second hand DrayTek Vigor they are fantastic routers and you can often get a good deal on second hand ones.

Cheers guys. Had a look at the Linkys and it looks perfect for what I'm needing. :)

Thanks again.
