As per title. It's for my mates dad and all he'll be doing on it is browsing the internet/Word documents so I think the cheapest AMD one will do.

Thanks.

Because a 2 dimensional card would be hard to find? XD Multi task much?

Wish I knew the answer to your question but haven't got a clue about 6 monitors on 1 card...

What kind of a person uses 6 screens to browse the internet and word process, I see no gains at all. Not sure of a single card that does, I know you can get quad monitor ones.

sapphire flex cards

Either this or try and find a second hand HD5870 eyefinty 6 edition. If I remember correctly these come with all the adaptors you need.

Stock trades for one.

I had 6 hooked up to my 6870 flex, although 1 had to be a displayport to dual dvi. Eyefinity 6 edition is a good option but I'd hate being stuck with all dp connectors.

Forgot to mention that he'll be using it for the stock market. He actually wants only 4 monitors but since i've never used a multi-monitor set-up I have no idea about these cards. He says he wants a minimum of 4 but I thought I might as well get him the one that supports 6 monitors in case he'd like to add some in the future.

Bit expensive for what he needs don't you think :P

If 4 monitors max is enough then look at the kfa2 mdt gt 610.

Yeah, might be a bit overpowered, but I think they made the 6 connection cards in the 6k series too... might still be a lot of unused power though. And maybe even getting those 4 DP monitors might not be that cheap.. A year back or so, I think to recall they were not that common.

It was just the only cards I knew of that were able to sport 6 connectors, but if only four is needed, there sure are cheaper choices, as already stated :)

Maybe run a cheap sli/crossfire setup with cards that has three connectors on each would yield you enough? That is if the above 4 connector cards will not show to be enough, that is.

I'll need to talk to him about this 6 screen set-up that he wants because it seems as it's going to be a bit more expensive than what he'd want to pay.

What would be the cheapest 4 monitor card that he could get as an alternative instead?
