Evening All,

Got a few long journeys coming up, the car is a bog standard 51 plate Focus 1.8 with one of these headunits:

Basically, I want to get my phone to it for music en route so I don't go out of my mind...whats going to be the easiest and cheapest solution for this? :)

Many Thanks,
Jake

I think you'd struggle to find a cheap cable solution unless the headunit has some sort of built in aux in functionality but i'd be surprised if it did...

I suppose there may be some sort of adaptor available so you can connect via the CD changer connection?

There you go, may be cheaper elsewhere but will allow you to connect the iPod through the CD changer connection and it'll even keep the phone charged and allow use of steering wheel controls and stuff.

(edit - apparantly it won't charge latest gen iPhones, so you may need another cable if you want that as well, i'm sure you can do your own product research from here though :p)

Well he's not going to get anything better than an FM transmitter if he really does want it just for a few trips I wouldn't have thought

The radio transmitters work very well and are inexpensive. Any particular reason you would favour a cable solution over them?.

Just they are more reliable than FM Transmitters, from experience.

Ray - is your one compatible with the iPhone? Also...WHY YOU NO MSN?! :p

Yup, I bought it for my iPhone 4 but obviously I don't need it now after throwing almost £300 a the iPod connection lol

You are welcome to keep it even.
