Evening all,
I'm in the process of building a new PC for office tasks across 3 monitors which are all VGA. I have heard about eyefinity having issues with displayport converters and dont want to end up having the extra cost involved is getting the correct equipment.
So my question is...
Can anyone recommend the cheapest solution for extending my desktop over 3 VGA monitors?

Thank you in advance :)

If you have an CPU with GPU built in (intel HD2000/3000 etc) then you can run one monitor off the onboard GPU and the other 2 off a seperate GPU. That should open up the GPU choice, as a lot more GPU's can do 2x screens than 3x screens.

Even the cheapest card like a 5450 should do dual screens. In fact you can normally do 2x screens off just the onboard GPU, you may even be able to do 3 screens. Check what onboard GPU your CPU has and what motherboard outputs it has.

Edit - 3 displays off the on board GPU would need display port, so forget that. You'll be able to do 2x screens shough as long as your mobo has a vga and a dvi port or a hdmi and dvi (which pretty much all do).

The onboard GPU isnt an option unfortunately as the CPU has already been selected so need a video to drive all 3 monitors.
