I'm looking for the cheapest E-350 based machine possible but am having trouble because I don't know any of them... Any suggestions for prebuilt machines or is it going to be cheaper to build my own?

Thanks

Thanks, I'll have a look into that. What is the difference between the E350 and 450?

I've just "stumbled" across Zotac who do a few machines that may be ok:

The Zotac AD02 looks ok, I guess the AD10 Nano is the slightly newer version?

What's interesting is the ND22 which has an SU2300 processor in, so similar power consumption but more powerful?

What are they like as download style machines? How noisy is the fan in real life (aim to have it in my bedroom on 24/7)?

Any other suggestions for cheaper machines or ones running of ULV chips like the ND22? Also small cheap case (dont care on quality, just needs to hold the board, it'll be hidden) with external power supplies?

Thanks for the suggestion however it really is cheaper the better, both up front cost and electricity costs. I think the ND22 would be easily powerful enough with 4GB RAM and if I can get it (and certainly the ram/HDD) second hand that will save me a bomb!

Thanks for the SPC review, I'll peruse that now. I guess noise won't be too much of a problem if I stuck it up in the attic and remoted into it depending on ease of use...
