Cheapest Gaming CPU for 4K 60FPS

I want to build a cheap PC for my my AV rack in the lounge to run First Person Shooters at 4K 60FPS on my OLED 77”

I’m out the loop….

Can someone spec me a Cheap motherboard and chip and Ram for this one purpose…

Micro ATX would be better as the case will be horizontal in my rack.

I expect a RX 6600 + Ryzen 7600 will do the job on medium settings, getting 50-60 fps. Because that’s what I get with my A770 + Ryzen 7700 benching Horizon Zero Dawn and Tomb Raider. Not UE5 games, mind.

Something around a 3700X - 5700X paired with 3200-3600mhz RAM should cover you in most situations. The tricky part will be a reasonable priced graphics card that run 4K at 60fps in a rack.

Thanks for the link…I did see the 5600X3D but it seems it’s not available….defo interested in the 5700X3D if the price is right…

5800x3D is currently a decent chunk under £300

Hard to say but as others said mainly GPU.

My second PC is a 8086K and a 2080ti and it's always the GPU that fails to get 60fps. On my living room PC (ITX) I have a 3050 and the type of games i play there it does 4k 60 although most people would laugh if say a 4k card (with a 3600)

It’s not a trivial thing to build a rack mount gaming PC for a lounge. Especially a reasonably priced one that can do justice to a 4K OLED.

This isn’t the typical throw money away, building a DIY console in an RGB wind tunnel situation.
