Hi all

My CD6000 in my Focus is nadged. The radio only works when it wants to. Its been checked out at a local car audio garage and they said £200+ for a head unit, fitted that would work with the finger tip controls.

Can anyone recommend a cheaper option. Ive looked on the bay for CD6000's and they go for around £70 inc delivery - but they are second hand. If im going to spend money i might as well look at a new one.

Cheers in advance

i've just sold my 6006 on the bay for £91 iirc, but most aftermarket hu's will allow fingertip controls now but you need to buy an adapter which is about 30 quid.

Do you think i should just go for second hand CD6000 (or even a 6006) as the cable for fingertip control on an after market hu is half the cost of the CD6000???!?!

the 6006 is a good unit, 6 cd changer, and if you haven't heard different it also sounds quite good for a standard head unit, just that when i bought my aftermarket HU, sub and comps it sounded a lot better. Also, the one bad thing about the 6006cd (IMO) is the fact it's slow when changing discs, but that's just me being impatient :D
