Hi guys,

looking for the cheapest laptop possible to play Dayz, Arma 3 and BF4.

i have recently just brought a very high spec PC but now want something to play on the go.

I don't really care about battery life or playing on the highest settings, just as long as i get some smooth game play.

Thanks guys.

what does everyone think of this? could get this quite cheap?

MSI GX660R

- Windows 7

- 64bit Operating System

- intel i5-460m 2.53GHz's

- ATI Radeon HD5870 1GB DDR5

- 15.6 screen

- DDR3 6GB

- 1TB HDD

- CD/DVD Drive

- Sound By DYNAUDIO

- LED accents around case (on/off switchable)

- Original power cable with UK 3 pin plug lead

maybe, id personally go with something with a 765m which isnt far away from that price but will perform much better

The 650m would also be a good card to look for on a budget, the processor with whatever laptop has it will be better than the above.

The dell outlet is usually the place to go on this budget. Ive not used it in a while but should still have some decent deals

That would have been ok. DayZ I find performance varies massively and Arma 3 although both are primarily CPU bound they really aren't optimised that well (yet he hopes)

Thanks guys, will take a look at the dell outlet aswell.

the MSI GT780 looks an amazing deal, will that ever be on sale again or "where they're gone, they're gone" ?

DayZ even on a relatively well-specced desktop seems to have difficulties running 'well'.

When you say it's for gaming on the go - I take you mean you'll have a power outlet? I can't see a powerful gaming laptop lasting too long (possibly even dying before you die from starvation in DayZ...)

views on this guys?

Dell XPS M1730

17.1 hd screen
300gb hard drive
4gb ram
1920x1200 screen
good battery
3g ready
8800gtx x2 sli nvidia cards
core2duo 2.4ghz cpu
Dvd dual layer rw < ageia phx card 128mb

EDIT: Just Googled this didn't realise how old it was, can someone delete this please?

on my desktop which is high spec it doesnt run to well so not expecting to much from a low budget laptop.

yeah man should have worded it better, on the go i mean with a power outlet, will be taking it to work and hotels haha.
