Pretty much what the title says. I will only really be using this laptop to go on the internet and little else but that, but the sticking point is that I would want it with a 17" screen. I saw an Acer in a computer store for around £440, so if anything is available for less, id love to hear about it

I'm not sure if this was the laptop you saw but i found one (Acer 7540 17.3") at a computer store for £430, otherwise i recently helped buy a 17 inch laptop for my parents Hp Compaq, don't think they do it now where i bought it from, but thats a pretty good laptop, apart from slightly bad battery life.

Another UK computer online retailer sells loads of Laptops around the £350-400 mark, best bet is to get it from there, i will do.
