I've a similar(ish) thread open - I'm looking at the Acer Aspire 1810TZ. Reviews state that it's available with UMTS (ie 3g dongles) as an option, but I've yet to find one for sale with that option added, sadly!
For me it's not been a priority, hence I've not really kept my eyes open for it.

i 've got a asus 1201n, which I love and will game, but doesnt have 3g. but I just put the dongle on a 100mm usb extension and blu tak it to the back when I need it . Thats enough to stop it getting snapped of the usb port.
